Weapon Crate

These chests are located all over the island and store mostly weapons and ammo. We wanted to make sure that empty chests are not confused with the untouched ones so that players don't waste their time running towards empty crates. At the same time we wanted to keep the traces of someone else opening them in favor of the PVP aspect. So we came up with this origami kind of unfolding animation that also highlights the sci-fi part of the game.
